How can I gauge my pet’s quality of life? Various and multiple factors should be considered as indicators to gauge quality of life;
> By far, the degree of your pet's engagement (or lack thereof) with you and interest in your activities and your regular / daily routine is one of the most telling indicators. A pet with an obvious lack of interest and loss of curiosity and engagement with his / her pet parent is sending a signal of declining quality of life.
> A pet who shows lack of interest in his food that he used to anticipate, love and enjoy is a pet who sending a distress signal.
> A pet who is losing weight and seems to be showing more of his bones and joints more readily, is a pet that is having a declining quality of life.
